Milestone to Celebration: SASLHA Turns 80

In May, we shared the difficult decision to cancel the SASLHA 2026 Conference. Today, we share what comes next, and it's worth celebrating.

 

This year, SASLHA turns 80. Eight decades of championing speech-language therapy and audiology in South Africa , built by the clinicians, academics, students and advocates who came before us, and carried forward by you.

 

Join us on Saturday, 1 August 2026 at Proud Mary, Rosebank, for a celebration breakfast with special guest speaker Miss SA, Qhawekazi Mazaleni, and video tributes from SASLHA Past Presidents and Fellows spanning our eighty-year story.
