Membership FAQ

Does SASLHA offer Professional Indemnity?

No, but SASLHA strongly recommends that speech language therapists and audiologists practising in an independent practice, obtain professional indemnity cover.

Do I qualify for Pensioner Membership?

Pensioner Membership with voting rights may be granted to any existing Member age 60, and who has been a SASLHA member for at least 2 years prior to age 60. Membership fees discounted with 50%.

Do I qualify for Fellowship?

Fellowship of the Association with voting rights may be granted to Members who have made an exceptional contribution to the professions and whose work SASLHA wishes to recognize and honour by a special award for distinguished service; Membership is free.

Do I qualify for Honorary Membership?

Honorary Membership without voting rights may be granted to those persons who have promoted the interests of the profession, and have been invited to join the Association as honorary Members; Membership is free.

Do I qualify for Affiliate Membership?

Affiliate Membership, with no voting rights to be granted to Speech Therapists and Audiologist in other countries, not registered with HPCSA. Membership is discounted with 50%.
