As the connections between hearing loss, cognitive decline, and chronic disease become clearer, clinicians must begin looking beyond the audiogram to embrace whole-body strategies for brain and hearing health. In this session, we explore the role of nutrition in preserving cognitive function, supporting auditory processing, and improving patient outcomes. Drawing on evidence from neuroscience, audiology, and Dr. Keith Darrow’s Healthy Food, Healthy Brain cookbook, participants will learn how specific nutrients and dietary patterns can reduce neuroinflammation, improve neuroplasticity, and complement traditional audiologic interventions. This talk bridges the gap between nutrition and hearing healthcare—empowering providers to lead patients toward a future of longevity, cognitive vitality, and improved communication.
